The Czech Helsinki Committee is a non-governmental non-profit organisation for human rights.
The main mission of the Czech Helsinki Committee consists primarily in the following

Monitoring legislative activities concerning human and citizen rights. Presenting experts opinions on bills and presenting alternative proposals, provided that they are related to protection of human and citizen rights.

Monitoring the state of human rights in the Czech Republic with special emphasis on selected areas. Regular preparation of reports on the state of human rights in the Czech Republic.

Monitoring the situation of those groups of population, in whose case protection of rights requires special attention.

Free legal counselling for citizens, whose human rights were violated. Litigation.

Education on human rights, organisation of discussions and human rights seminars. Training programmes for professional groups as well as employees and activists of non-governmental organisations. Publication activities.
