The Czech Helsinki Committee (CHC), as a member of the International Network Against Cyber Hate (INACH), shares information related to its recent activities.
Since 1st of February 2020 INACH has started a new project Remember and ACT! (Re-ACT), funded by the EU, which will last till the end of January 2022.
The project aims to transform worrisome findings of hate data into effective warnings. Indeed, members of INACH have been collecting information putting forwards the links between current online hate phenomena and the propaganda of the Third Reich during the 20th century. For this reason, the project Remember and ACT is focusing particularly on researching how “old” concepts of antisemitism and antigypsyism are currently being used and where exactly they originated from.
As a result, Re-ACT will develop and provide educational materials and tools for the prevention of racism, xenophobia, homophobia or other forms of intolerance and build the foundation for the establishment of an online prevention-hub at INACH.
INACH’s project partners are: ROMEA, The International League Against Racism and Anti-Semitism (LICRA) and SYNYO. However, in the course of the project, more strategic partnerships will be sought to ensure the use of and exchange of relevant educational materials and knowledge through the prevention-hub.
