(English) Denmark: Supreme Court rules that a Danish People’s Party advertisement was not offensive to immigrants

In 2013, the Danish People’s Party (dansk folkeparti) published in two newspapers the names of 685 persons getting Danish citizenship with the heading: „one person on this list is a danger for security in Denmark“. The Danish Security and Intelligence Service (PET) had indeed considered that one of those persons represented a potential threat to national security, but since that person could not be identified, the Danish People’s Party decided to publish all names. The Supreme Court ruled that the advertisement was not defamatory for naturalized Danes.
