The conference will take place on Friday 8 June 2018, at the Geoffrey Manton Building, Rosamond Street West, Manchester M15 6EB.
This pan-European conference, hosted by POPS (Partners of Prisoners and Families Support Group) and in partnership with Children of Prisoners Europe (COPE), will look at progress in England & Wales for children with imprisoned parents, underlining the importance of a child’s perspective.
The conference will consider recent public policy milestones both on an international scale and within England and Wales. The changing role of technology will be explored throughout the conference for its potential in supporting child-parent relationships. Panel discussions will examine the position of the media, and how they contribute to public opinion.
