German city Essen marches against right-wing violence

Five thousand people marched in Essen against right-wing violence. The march was the latest  rally in reaction to anti-immigration protests in Chemnitz.”Together we stand for cosmopolitanism, democracy, humanism and tolerance. We will not leave the street for the right,” the protesters said.

The demonstrators united under the motto “wirsindmehr — Aufstehen gegen rechte Hetze,” or  “We are more — standing up against right-wing agitation.” “Wirsindmehr” has become a rallying call for anti-right protesters after a concert against neo-Nazi violence and racism in Chemnitz. More than 65,000 people turned out for the concert.
